Letter from the Sun to Human Beings – Intro
Introduction
When I was little, I remember I did not like a drawing if there was no yellow in it. To me, yellow was the colour of the Sun. The colour of warmth, light, and joy.
Years later, I realised that the word “sun” was hidden inside my surname, AnSOLEaga. In some strange and beautiful way, the Sun has always accompanied and inspired me. I have always loved it deeply. I can spend hours watching a sunset, staring at its light in silence, wondering what this ancient and generous creature would tell us if it could speak.
What wisdom would it share after witnessing billions of years of life on Earth? What would it say about love, suffering, distraction, beauty, fear, meaning, and the strange way we humans live — building walls, competing, killing one another, and destroying the only home we all share?
This newsletter was born from that question.
Letters to Human Beings — From the Sun is a series of imagined letters written from the perspective of the Sun: an ancient presence watching humanity with tenderness, concern, wisdom, and hope.
I hope you enjoy the first one. And thank you, truly, for taking the time to read my words. I know how precious your time is.

Letters to Human Beings — From the Sun
Introduction
Dear Children of the Blue Planet,
I have watched you since before you named yourselves. I have seen the oceans crawl toward the shore, mountains rise and crumble, hearts ignite and break. I have shone over your laughter and your wars. I have watched you build towers to touch my light, and screens that dim it in your eyes.
And I write to you now, humbly, as an elder who has lived long enough to know a few simple things.
Happiness is not something you chase. It is something that visits — a byproduct of living with integrity, kindness, and purpose. Seek instead to live well: to create beauty, to repair what you can, to forgive often, to laugh. When you align your days with what is good, happiness will follow you like your shade.
I have watched your restlessness — the constant hunger for more, the endless striving for novelty. Beware the mirage of “more.” It will leave your soul starving even when your hands are full. True strength is not in having or doing, but in being: grounded, awake, at peace with yourself.
Do not fear stillness. You rush as if silence were an enemy, yet in silence I have seen the birth of stars. Rest, breathe, and let your thoughts settle. Clarity is born when the mind grows quiet. The world does not need more noise; it needs clear minds, compassionate hearts, and souls who listen.
You cannot control what happens — the storms, the endings, the losses — but you can control how you meet them. Let adversity carve depth into you, the way time carves canyons into stone. Do not wish life to be different. Flow with what comes, and you will discover that acceptance is not weakness but grace.
When worry grips you, rise above it. Look at your troubles from where I stand — high above the turning world. Most shrink from up here; some vanish entirely. Ask yourself if they are truly worth your sleepless nights.
Remember to nurture your soul — always. For you do not see life as it is; you see life as you are. Tend to your inner light, for it colours everything you perceive. A quiet, kind soul transforms ordinary moments into miracles.
Human connection gives life its deepest meaning. Give of yourself to others. In the act of giving — time, love, compassion — you will discover joy, courage, and belonging. What you give freely, you never lose. It multiplies in marvellous ways.
Do not measure your worth by wealth or fame — they are brief shadows on your bright journey. True success is the satisfaction of fulfilling your calling, whatever form it takes. Whether you plant a seed, heal a wound, teach a child, or mend a broken thing, every act done with sincerity is sacred.
Simplify your desires. When you turn away from excess and towards essence, peace returns like dawn. Stare at nature — it is full of wisdom for those able to see. Everything in creation moves with balance, rhythm, and surrender. Learn from the trees, which bend with the wind but do not break; from the rivers, which find their way by yielding; from the seasons, which change without fear.
Remember: nothing exists alone. Every breath you take is borrowed from the trees; every heartbeat moves with the oceans, winds, and stars. You are woven into a vast, luminous web. The fate of one is tied to the fate of all.
Take care of your one and only home. Protect the Earth that shelters you, the seas that cradle you, the forests that breathe with you. Make short-term sacrifices for long-term grace. You are very good at numbers — so count wisely: the cost of inaction far outweighs the price of care. Your children, your grandchildren, and those yet unborn have the same right to marvel at coral reefs, ancient trees, and the blue of dawn. Guard their inheritance as tenderly as you guard your child’s breath.
Do not live trapped between what was and what might be. The past is gone; the future is uncertain. All you ever truly have is the present — the pulse of now. Live each moment fully, for every instant you are alive is precious and echoes into eternity.
Learn the wisdom of those who came before you. The light you carry was handed to you by countless generations — thinkers, poets, healers, dreamers — all who looked up and drew courage from my glow. Honour them by continuing their work: by adding your spark to the eternal pursuit of truth and understanding. You inherit light from those who came before. Keep it shining, and pass it on.
And remember: you are made of me. The calcium in your bones, the iron in your blood — all were forged in my heart before finding their way to yours. You are sunlight walking, breathing, thinking. Every time you love, you continue my oldest work: to give light, warmth, love, and life.
So live gently. Shine honestly. Love deeply.
When you look up and see me shining, remember: I am not above you — I am within you.
With ancient affection,
— The Sun ☀️
